Field Staff Monitoring and Lone Worker Protection - how it works
WorkforceWise is a technology-neutral platform that allows the use of various location positioning methods (such as Cell-ID data taken from mobile handsets and GPS geo-coordinates from mobile phones or other specialised devices).
It also permits the use of all GPS devices (by configuring a device handler), all mapping interfaces (such as MapPoint and Google) and all data communication channels (GPRS, SMS, and satellite networks such as Iridium).
The service is completely flexible. We can provide a web-based interface, a control room (LAN) s/w client and a mobile client, giving you more options as the service provider to profit from the service.
We can even tailor WorkforceWise to fit in with your customers’ business procedures. For example, if a gas company employee has an accident in a refinery, he can press a “Send Help” button on his device. WorkforceWise will then immediately notify nearby workers and the appropriate response unit to help.
Notification can be in the form of map data sent directly to the mobile device of the rescue team, helping to pinpoint the worker’s location and get to him more quickly. At the same time, WorkforceWise can send out email and SMS alerts to company managers, escalating awareness of the situation and logging all activities for audit purposes.
