Creativity Software’s solution provides a simple addition to existing infrastructure and takes advantage of data available in mobile networks to generate real time, accurate positioning information. A variety of techniques can be supported, including:

  • Timing Advance (TA)
  • Cell ID, based on cell handover and location update
  • CITARx / RxLEV

These techniques allow accurate determination of the location of any mobile handset in any physical environment without the overhead and additional cost demanded by GPS or TDOA-based systems. Additionally, they do not suffer from degradation in dense urban environments, unlike GPS which requires clear line-of-sight for consistent accuracy.

The resulting information can be used to identify, locate and track targets. Authorised agencies can leverage this information for a variety of applications, such as:

  • Lawful Intercept
  • Person tracking
  • Asset location
  • Optimised resource management

Creativity Software can also provide custom security applications, giving a complete solution for asset tracking. For example, advanced geo-fence rules can be established, enabling asset movement to be tracked in specific geographical areas.

Geo-fence applications can be configured such that tracking is triggered when a target enters or leaves a specified area, when coverage is established or broken; or when in proximity to other target assets.
